January 27, 2025 (Monday): #walangpasok in Selected Areas

January 27 (Monday) is declared as a Muslim legal holiday in celebration of Israh Wal Mi’raj which commemorates Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Night Journey and Ascension, pursuant to Presidential Decree 1083. 


Under article 170 of PD 1083, Muslim holidays shall be officially observed in the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Zamboanga del Norte, and Zamboanga del Sur and the cities of Cotabato, Iligan, Marawi, Pagadian, and Zamboanga City. 


#ChineseNewYear2025  January 29 (Wednesday) is a special non-working holiday nationwide, based on Presidential Proclamation 727 issued on October 30, 2024 declaring the regular holidays and special (non-working) days for 2025.
