DepEd RO I Reminds Schools to Focus on Undisturbed Class Time
The Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Office I has released Regional Memorandum No. 73, s. 2025, reminding schools to strictly follow rules for uninterrupted class time between teachers and students for School Year 2024-2025.
This memorandum strengthens the rules in Regional Memorandum No. 1479, s. 2024, which bans any school activities—whether part of the curriculum or not—that disrupt regular class schedules.
Schools are advised to make sure class hours are used to teach the core subjects effectively. Activities like practice or preparation must be done after class hours or on weekends, following DepEd and Civil Service Commission (CSC) guidelines.
