PEI is Real! Updated List of SDOs Released with PEI
Great news for government employees! The long-awaited Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) for Fiscal Year 2024 has officially been confirmed. In line with the recent announcement from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the updated list of School Division Offices (SDOs) and other agencies eligible for the PEI has been released, bringing much-anticipated clarity and excitement to the public sector.
What is the PEI?
The PEI is a government initiative designed to reward public servants for their dedication and exceptional contributions to achieving agency and financial performance targets. As stipulated under Congress Joint Resolution No. 4, s. 2009, the PEI forms part of the Total Compensation Framework, incentivizing employees to strive for higher productivity and efficiency in delivering public services.
For FY 2024, a uniform PEI rate of ₱5,000 has been approved for each qualified government employee. The PEI is set to be released no earlier than December 15, 2024, following the conditions outlined in DBM Circular Letter No. 2024-17.
