Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (internationally known as Trami) struck the Philippines from October 21 to October 25, 2024, bringing devastating rains, violent winds, and triggering widespread flooding and landslides across many regions. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), as of October 30, the storm has impacted over 1.7 million families (approximately 7 million individuals) and resulted in 139 casualties.
