As heavy rains continue to batter various regions in the country, several
local governments have declared class suspensions to ensure the safety of
students and school personnel. The downpours are brought by a Low-Pressure
Area (LPA) within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), further
intensified by the southwest monsoon (habagat). Below is a list of areas
where class suspensions have been announced. Please note that this is an
ongoing update, so make sure to refresh the page for the latest information.
Tropical storm Gener is expected to make landfall in the vicinity of Isabela
or Aurora later today. It is forecasted to exit through La Union or
Pangasinan by tomorrow, September 18.
