Schools are now allowed to tailor their class schedules based on specific factors such as school size, available teachers, and classroom resources. This flexibility provides teachers with the autonomy to create a teaching schedule that suits their students' needs and school capacities.
Schools are given two main options for time allotment:
Option 1: Each learning area is taught for 45 minutes daily, with a Homeroom Guidance Program conducted once a week.
Option 2: Learning areas may have 50, 55, or 60-minute time slots, with varying weekly frequencies depending on the subject.
In cases where these options are not suitable, schools can propose alternative combinations, provided they meet specific minimum requirements for learning contact time. This adaptability is expected to ease the burden on teachers, allowing them to balance their teaching loads more effectively.

Teacher-Friendly Provisions
DepEd has made it clear that the welfare of teachers is a priority. Moreover, schools that have enough teaching staff are encouraged to continue conducting reading and math programs after school hours.
